FIR lodged against CM and others
ITANAGAR, Dec 22: A group of organizations including JACAP today alleged misuse of government machinery recently and lodged an FIR at Naharlagun Police Station against Chief Minister Nabam Tuki, Home Minister Tanga Byaling, Parliamentary Secretary (Home) Likha Saaya and others in this regard.
The FIR alleged that supporter of Chief Minister Nabam Tuki, Speaker Nabam Rebia and Home Minister Tanga Byaling had completely blocked the highway at Papu Nallah near the Bridge Point in between Itanagar and Naharlagun for seven hours on December 17 last, bringing vehicular traffic to a complete halt that caused untold sufferings to thousands of people, including businessmen, govt. employees, students.

AAPWU for sensitization of workers
ITANAGAR, Dec 22: A team of All Arunachal Pradesh Workers’ Union (AAPWU) led by its secretary general visited Seppa, Bomdila and Tawang to sensitise the workers on the various benefits available to them and also to make them aware of the union’s activities.
During the visits, the AAPWU team also conducted meeting where they urged the workers to get registered with the All Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (AAPB&OCWWB) to avail benefits.
CCTV cameras installed in Changlang town
CHANGLANG, Dec 22: In order to ensure public safety in Changlang township area and instill sense of security among the citizens, CCTV surveillance cameras were installed at 26 strategic locations in the market with monitoring facilities at three locations.
The initiative is of the District Administration in association with Department of Police and Changlang Township Trade and Commerce Association.
Launching the CCTV surveillance in presence of officers, police personnel and executive members of Changlang Township Trade and Commerce Association, Changlang Deputy Commissioner expressed hope that new development in township area will benefit the administration, security forces, citizens and business groups. It will also help prevent the potential offenders in committing petty crime in the market area, he added.

Building dedicated to Seva Kendra Medo
ITANAGAR, Dec 22: A newly constructed building was dedicated by Arunachal Vikas Parishad (AVP) to the Seva Kendra, Medo in a function held today at Medo in Lohit district. Speaking on the occasion, AVP Dy. Organizing Secy., B K Dubey presented a historical background of the Seva Kendra and its aim and objectives. Local people of Medo also gave in their views in the meeting.
Seva Kendra established in 1996 by AVP, operates a Medical Service along with a Balvadi for the people of Medo.
AACWA lauds Govt approval
ITANAGAR, Dec 22: The All Arunachal Contractor’s Welfare Association (AACWA) has lauded the state government, particularly the PWD for early approval in modification of contractors’ registration enlistment fees in state PWD.
In a release, it stated that it was for the interest of tribal contractors as the earlier notification had high amount due to which many upcoming contractors couldn’t register as contractors in AP PWD.

He also asked all BDOs/POs to ensure that all the CSS programme are uploaded on MIS in a routine manner till creation of Master Data for the district.
Assistant Project Officer, Rural Engineering DRDA, Er. Kirli Bui highlighted the entire CSS programme operating under DRDA including MIS and bifurcation of Master Data for the district from East and West Siang districts.
Participating in the discussion, ZPMs and BDOs highlighted their respective issues and stressed for better net connectivity as they are facing problems in uploading data at MIS. HC moved seeking vacation of Dec 17 order on Assembly decision, next hearing on Jan 4
GUWAHATI, Dec 22: An application was moved in the Gauhati High Court yesterday by the Deputy Speaker of Arunachal Pradesh Assembly seeking vacation/modification of the HC’s December 17 order keeping in abeyance the decisions of the House passed in the "session" held on December 16 "removing" Speaker Nabam Rebia. Justice B K Sarmah issued directions not to hold any session of the Assembly till January four, 2016 after hearing a batch of interlocutory application filed by Deputy Speaker T Norbu Thongdok, who is opposed to Chief Minister Nabam Tuki, and some MLAs.
Justice B K. Sarmah gave the directions after hearing the interlocutory applications for modification of the earlier interim order passed on December 17.
After hearing the case, Justice Sarmah fixed January four 2016 as the date for the next hearing and till then directed not to hold the Assembly session.

Because of Rajkhowa's over enthusiastic move, Arunachal had no Speaker for more than 24 hours and for couple of hours, there were two Chief Ministers! The terror of having to handle two chief ministers did not last long due to the intervention of the High Court but we know that the current CM does not have enough support. Then again there is the issue of disqualification of 14 members. It's never been this chaotic.
During two days of uncertainty, the State Police and administration stood composed even in the face of provocation from BJP and Congress workers. Had one lathi been lifted, there would have been violence because both parties were waiting for the other one to start. On the other hand, Congress leadership and their supporters could have done better than blocking the highway and slaughtering a poor animal near the Raj Bhavan after the CM was 'voted out' in a sitting held in a hotel.
The display of political immaturity and hunger for power by Congress and rebel Congress and BJP have surely gone down in political history of this state so has the actions of the overzealous governor who seemed to have exceeded his authority.

The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Bill, which provides for lowering the age for trial from 18 years, was passed by Rajya Sabha with a voice vote after a walkout by Left parties which wanted it to be sent to a Select Committee. The bill was passed by Lok Sabha earlier.
Replying to the debate on the bill, Women and Child Development (WCD) Minister Maneka Gandhi said the legislation was a "nuanced" one and was much needed to act as a "deterrent".
She said the incidents of heinous crimes by juveniles of the age of 16 years and above were on the rise and cited statistics to support her contention.
Allaying concerns expressed by members about the implications of the proposed legislation, Gandhi said it was "not against children but rather provides for, protects, nurtures and keeps them safe."

ITANAGAR, Dec 22: Labourers are the backbone of development, said Nyamar Karkab, Parliamentary Secretary, Civil Supply & Consumer Affairs, who is also chairman of APB& OCWWB. He was speaking on the occasion of the 3rd Foundation day of All Arunachal Pradesh Labour Union at Nyikum Niya Hall, Nirjuli yesterday.
Highlighting the various schemes being implemented in the state for welfare of labourers, he said, the Board has taken several welfare activities for the wellbeing of the labourers. Under the initiatives of the Nabam Tuki led government, the services of some dedicated labourers have been recognized with award and this will continue in future too, Karbak added.
The Board chairman further said the Board has already initiated a scheme which can provide a cumulative of Rs 5 lacs. He also called upon all the labourers to enroll their names under the Chief Minister’s Universal Health Insurance Scheme and take the advantage of cash less treatment in various reputed hospitals.
In his address, Yora Togung, APBRDA Chairman appealed the labour force to be bold and sincere towards their duties.

DDCA scam haunting finance minister
The alleged financial irregularity under Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) is starting to haunt finance minister Arun Jaitely. The opposition parties are demanding his resignation over the allegation. Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad today urged Jaitley to resign, so that investigation is done freely. He added that finance minister can return to cabinet if he is proved innocent. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took the matter to another level and demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resignation alleging that Modi used CBI to conduct fraudulent raid in his office to save Arun Jaitley.
Embarrassingly for the saffron party, it is the BJP MP Kirti Azad who is up in arm against Jaitely. Azad has been leveling allegations of financial mismanagement in the Delhi and District Cricket Association during Arun Jaitley's tenure. Besides addressing a press conference in this issue, he also raised the matter in the Lokh Sabha much to embarrassment of BJP. The functioning of Rajya Sabha and Lokh Sabha was also disrupted on this issue. Opposition has been making noise in both the houses seeking resignation of Jaitely. The DDCA scam is not only hurting the image of Jaitley but also that of the government. He is a senior minister and one of the trusted lieutenants of PM Modi. When he is under scanner, it directly affects the image of entire cabinet including that of Modi. Opposition parties are using him to target PM Modi. They are trying to create an impression that Modi is saving a wrongdoer. Therefore BJP will have to take a decision in this regard at the earliest before opposition wins the perception battle.

Need for PGT Commerce

I would like to place an open letter to the Director Secondary Education, Government
of Arunachal Pradesh with regard to the recent advertisement No. ED-
We know that TGT or JT (Jr. Teacher) is basically teacher at Upper Primary Schools or Secondary level Schools which is not meant for Higher Secondary Level Schools. But unfortunately it is being observed that TGT in commerce have been advertised a couple of time recently. Whereas there is no subjects available like Accountancy and Business Administration at that level.
Astoundingly, after having telephonically talk with a person in Director Elementary Office phone No.03602290463 dated 10th Nov.’2015 11:00 hrs; I come to know that selected TGT in commerce would be teaching either Mathematics or Science at Upper Primary Schools.
The above stated matters and advertisement show that there is gross violation of Human Resource Development Index. As a matter of fact, Human Resource Planning is the process including forecasting, implementing, and controlling by which a firm ensures that it has the right number of people and right kind of people, at the right time and right place, doing things for which they are economically most suitable. It is basically the most effective utilisation of scarce talent in the interest of the labour and the organisation. If these linkages are not proper, a subsystem’s contribution to the achievement of organisational objectives is adversely affected. The same thing is certain to happen in coming days if manpower planning is not done properly.
From all the corners of the districts, we came across through daily newspapers with regard to subject teachers at Higher Secondary Level; there is immediate need of Post Graduate Teachers at almost all these Schools.
But department concern kept on advertising TGT in commerce. Why? It is known to all that only PGT or ST level subjects are available in commerce stream. So, Commerce department needs Post Graduate Teacher not TGT.
Finally, it’s my fervent appeal to kindly make and arrange to advertise the PGT post instead of TGT.

Do not involve in politics
Dear Editor,
This is regarding “Adisu to start agitation against Governor and MoS” published in your newspaper on 19th December.
It is my sincere appeal to the Adisu not to organize any rally in this hour of political crisis. Do not add more fuel to this political crisis. If you do any rally in this current situation everyone will call you as political organization and not a student union.
Adisu is considered as highest student organizations body of Adi community, so you have a big responsibility towards the society. Do not lead the union in favor of some political party as well as your own benefits because this union is not a political wing.
What other student unions do that doesn’t matter; let them do do not lower the dignity of the Adis by involving in such dirty politics. Do not lead the union in wrong directions rather than go for developmental activities.
Adi Bane Kebang(ABK) is there to handle any problem or issues. Before you declare agitation you should consult with the ABK first.
Students unions have a boundary and they shouldn’t cross their limit.
In addition to this, I request APMCC not to repeat semi nude protest. Instead of semi nude, you can adopt alternate methods. Your half nude protest was out of context
